☀️ Founded the Riverside Mutual Aid Network at the start of the pandemic, raising over $16,000 in grassroots funding for community grocery distributions, wellbeing checks for elderly residents and oral hygiene products for unsheltered individuals.
☀️ Worked as part of Riverside County’s COVID-response team, assisting over 500 families and small businesses with COVID resources, health education and financial relief.
☀️ Partnered with Riverside County 211 to launch Mobile Meals Program, delivering farm-to-table meals to veterans, people with disabilities and COVID-impacted residents in the Eastside & University neighborhoods.
☀️ Coordinated with Nurse advocacy groups to fight for safer working conditions and better access to PPE for frontline staff at Riverside Community Hospital.
☀️ Appointed as Commissioner to the Riverside City Human Relations Commission, supporting equal access to opportunity and better public health infrastructure.
☀️ Partnered with the City of Riverside and IEHP to secure federal CARES Act funding & launch 26 free community pantries across Riverside.
☀️ Served as UC Riverside representative to the Riverside Mayor’s College Forum, advocating for housing support and neighborhood traffic reduction.
☀️ Active member of Riverside Neighborhood Partnership Board & University Neighborhood Association, helping coordinate neighborhood support activities and improve quality of life.
☀️ Secured and distributed over $40,000 in CA state funding towards college-prep programs for Riverside middle school and high school students.
☀️ Championed the University Advisory Council on Student-Neighbor Relations, which provided tenant workshops, resources assistance and good neighbor guides to 100+ registered student households.
☀️ Served on the University of California Council of Presidents, meeting with UC President Janet Napolitano and former Lt. Gov Gavin Newsom to advocate for lower tuition rates and body cameras for campus police officers.
